Deluge System

DELUGE SYSTEM

When a significant amount of water must be released simultaneously to extinguish a fire, particularly in high-risk areas, a deluge system is a type of fire safety device. In contrast to a typical sprinkler system, a deluge system has all of its nozzles operating with water discharge, and when the system is activated, all of the nozzles release water into a specific area. In places like chemical plants, power plants, and industrial buildings where there is a risk of an electrical explosion or where flammable liquids are present, expandable foam insulation works best. A fire detection mechanism that draws water from a separate water tank starts the system’s operation. By flooding the affected area, deluge systems help address the issue of fast fire spread. They are quite helpful if you want to prevent or lessen the likelihood of tragic events that harm people and property in an industrial area.
